Accommodations
Working today in three interconnected buildings that occupy a
31,000-m2 area, the HCor counts with 216 beds for internment, of
which 40 are ICU (for adults and children), 13 for COD – Coronary
Department – and 8 destined for emergencies. The internment units at
the HCor were projected to offer comfort, safety, and functionality
to patients and their companions.
The beds are all automated and the
bacteriostatic floor allows adequate asepsis. The nursing stations
on the floors are strategically located so as to enable the
visualization of all rooms.
All rooms are equipped with one-single
gadget controls that have buttons to call on nurses, to control
lighting and the speakers to listen to nursing requests, as well as
a microphone.
Bathrooms have also been equipped with devices from
which the patient can also request nursing aid, which will tend to
the patient personally.
The rooms have private bathrooms, air
conditioning (in which patients control the temperature), beds with
manual commands, refrigerators, cable TV, telephones, resting seats,
tables for meals, and Internet connection plugs.
For companions, the
HCor makes automatic coffee, chocolate and tea machines in the
following areas available: Emergency Area, Ground Floor
and 2nd Floor - Wainting room of medical information for family and companions.
The Hospital
has a package and luggage keeping sector available for patients.
